Dominant Performance by Rapp in Florida Win
|
It was a good time at Joe Robbie Stadium, where fans came to watch the New York Mets and Florida Marlins get after it.
Florida Marlins starter Pat Rapp pitched effectively against the New York Mets at Joe Robbie Stadium. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 6-0 win. At 28-40, the Marlins find themselves in 4th place in the United League East Division.
Rapp subdued the New York offense. The Florida right-hander allowed a mere 4 hits over 8 innings, while fanning 9. His season record goes to 3-8 with the win.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Florida manager Matthew Lazear.
