Creams Beat Visiting Cubs, 6-1
The Milwaukee Creams defeated the Chicago Cubs, 6-1, at Milwaukee County Stadium today. Leading the charge for Milwaukee was right fielder John Elway. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Milwaukee's record now stands at 40-30, placing them second in the Federal League Central Division.

The Creams beat the Cubs with some clutch hitting. The home run by Chipper Jones in the bottom of the fifth is a good example. With two down, Jones gave his team the lead, 3-1, when he came through with the big hit.

"I really like what we did out there today," Jones said after the game.
