Multi-HR Day for Nunnally as Senators Overpower Expos, 5-2
|
Getting a good performance from center fielder Jon Nunnally, the Washington Senators defeated the Montreal Expos, 5-2. Nunnally belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Senators. Washington leads the United League East Division by 2 games.
With Washington leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Nunnally hit a fastball from Pat Hentgen for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Senators ahead, 4-0.
"We've got a great group of guys," Nunnally said, "and we're having fun right now."
