Royals Get Road Win, 10-6
|
Kansas City left fielder Reggie L. Sanders was instrumental in his team's 10-6 win over the Florida Marlins. Sanders, who finished 3rd in the FL in triples with 8 in 1993, went 2-5 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Royals. The loss drops Florida to 3-5.
Sanders had a consequential at-bat in the top of the seventh for the Royals. Coming up with runners on 1st and 2nd and Kansas City trailing 6-5, he hit a 3-run home run.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Sanders said.
