Delgado Helps Creams Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Milwaukee Creams beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 18-4, at Busch Stadium. Milwaukee first baseman Carlos Delgado earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He hit 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times. The second-place Creams now have a 4-game winning streak.
In the top of the first, Delgado pounced on a 2-1 fastball from Jeff Pico and hit a 2-run home run. It put Milwaukee on top, 2-0.
"We maximized our offense today," said Milwaukee skipper Sean Norman. "That makes everyone's life easier."
