Royals Win in Glorious Fashion
|
Kansas City Royals starter Kevin Brown was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Minnesota Twins, 4-2. John Habyan picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Gene Walter was tagged with the loss. Kansas City has now won 3 straight, while the Twins have lost 3 in a row.
Kansas City took a 4-2 lead on Reggie L. Sanders's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Minnesota pitcher Gene Walter in the bottom of the 16th.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Sanders. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
