Senators Roll to 8-2 Win Over Expos
|
Washington rode a decent outing from starter John Burkett to victory over the Montreal Expos at RFK Stadium. The final score was 8-2. Washington is now 46-26, 2 games up in the United League East Division.
Freddy F Garcia put Washington in front, 3-2, when he took Mark Guthrie downtown. His 2-run home run came with one out in the bottom of the second. It was his 2nd home run of the season.
Burkett attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
