Sebra Now 8-3 After Subduing Rockies
|
The San Francisco Giants got a rather unremarkable outing from starting pitcher Bob Sebra, but it was good enough for the club to take a 5-1 decision over the Colorado Rockies. San Francisco has an impressive 48-23 record.
Sebra, a native of Ridgewood, New Jersey, was dealing all game. He kept Colorado hitters off-balance, while giving the Giants 9 quality innings. Sebra threw 104 pitches, allowing 4 hits and striking out 8.
"I liked his command," said San Francisco manager Alen Maglajac. "Bob was throwing strikes."
