Boston Bats Go Silent in 1-0 Loss
|
The Minnesota Twins got a strong performance from pitcher Darryl Kile, who stymied the Boston offense en route to a 1-0 win at Fenway Park. Rob Dibble got the save, the 19th for him this season. Minnesota has now won 3 straight, while the Red Sox have lost 3 in a row.
Minnesota took a 1-0 lead on Kal Daniels's 19th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Daniels hit in the top of the seventh, left Boston pitcher Pete Harnisch shaking his head.
"I like what I saw today," said Minnesota manager Darren Fischbach, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
