Multi-HR Day for Shipley as Cubs Overpower Yankees, 6-4
Chicago second baseman Craig Shipley had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 6-4 win over the New York Yankees. Chicago reliever Mike Holtz picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Brian Bohanon was saddled with the loss. Frank DiPino, credited with the save, is now 20 for 25 in save opportunities.

Mike Piazza played a key role in the win for the Cubs. The first baseman punched a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning. For the game, Piazza was 2-4 with a home run.

Shipley said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."

The Cubs now have a record of 37-36.
