Rodriguez Helps Sun Rays Beat Royals
The Orlando Sun Rays defeated the Kansas City Royals, 8-3, at Royals Stadium today. Leading the charge for Orlando was catcher Ivan Rodriguez. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Orlando, now 3-5, is off to a slow start.

Rodriguez had a key at-bat for Orlando early in the game. With the bases empty, he hit a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and gave Orlando an early 1-0 lead.
