Victory Pushes Dodgers Record to 46-28
|
Los Angeles rode a good effort from starter Aaron Sele to beat the Washington Senators at Dodger Stadium. The final score was 4-1. Sele went 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 5, and struck out 9. His record improves to 6-6. Los Angeles has now won 3 in a row.
Scott Fletcher had a big 2-run single for the Dodgers in the bottom of the second inning. With Los Angeles trailing 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a fastball from Chad Ogea and stroked the single to right. It was his 61st hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dodgers ahead, 2-1.
"I felt good up there," said Fletcher. "I saw the ball well."
