Expos Win in Extras
|
Los Angeles pitcher Bartolo Colon gave the Expos all they could handle, but in the end, Montreal left Dodger Stadium with a 7-2 win. Colon allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits over 8 innings. The Expos now own a record of 45-29.
Montreal took a 3-2 lead on Brian R. Hunter's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run, which Hunter hit in the top of the 12th, left Los Angeles pitcher John Franco visibly frustrated.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Hunter. "I like it."
