Johnson Shackles New York
|
Joe Johnson was dynamite at Yankee Stadium today, blowing away the New York Yankees in a shutout victory. The St. Louis Cardinals starter had everything working as he held the Yankees to 4 hits in the 3-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said New York skipper Patrick McQuail. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Johnson finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks.
To date this season, Johnson has a record of 7 wins and 4 losses and a 3.79 ERA. He has appeared in 16 games and struck out 62 in 116.1 innings.
