Justice drives in 5 runs, Royals Move to 57-19
|
The Kansas City Royals thumped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 8-2, at Three Rivers Stadium. David Justice was a big reason his team got the win. Justice was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Kansas City has run its win streak to 6 in a row.
In the top of the eighth, with Kansas City leading 3-2, the Pirates allowed the Royals to go up, 5-2, on a base hit and Pittsburgh error.
"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Justice.
