The New York Yankees got a stellar performance from pitcher Greg Hibbard, who handcuffed the Chicago offense en route to a 9-1 win at Wrigley Field. Even with the win, the Yankees have a dismal 22-53 record.

Mike Gallego, the New York second baseman, contributed a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to make the score 4-0, Yankees. For the game, Gallego went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Hibbard.
