Expos Drop Dodgers with Late Score

The Montreal Expos got a strong performance from pitcher Pat Hentgen, who stymied the Los Angeles offense en route to a 4-2 win at Dodger Stadium. Montreal reliever Ed Correa was the winner. His record is now 5-3. Bill Wilkinson took the loss. The Expos have an impressive 46-29 record.
The contest featured some late-game dramatics from Montreal shortstop Jose Hernandez. In the top of the ninth inning, with two out and a runner on 2nd, Hernandez hit a run-scoring single to help Montreal seize the win.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Hentgen said after the game.
