Pilots Lose to Mets in Walk Off
|
New York pitcher Jason Isringhausen did his part in helping his team beat the Seattle Pilots, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winner was Wayne Edwards in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Alan Embree took the loss. The loss lowers the Seattle record to 4-4.
Magglio Ordonez had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the tenth. The New York right fielder came through with a run-scoring single to put New York in front, 3-2.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said New York skipper Michael Kritikos.
