Mark Clark Goes Distance in Win
|
Mark Clark never let the White Sox get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Yankees to a 4-1 win. Chicago has now lost 12 consecutive games.
Clark gave New York a solid start. The right-hander, who is listed at 6' 5", 230 lbs, allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 9 innings.
Clark pitched well, despite being a bit under the weather. "To be honest, I was sick before the game," he said. "Just a stomach bug."
