Hampton K's 11 En Route to 3-0 Cubs Win
|
Chicago starter Mike Hampton pitched effectively against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. The left-hander led his team to a 3-0 win. Alberto Reyes notched his 1st save in 5 chances. The Cubs bumped their record to 39-38 with this latest triumph.
The Red Sox had little chance against Hampton, who overpowered Boston hitters and struck out 11.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Hampton.
