Dominant Performance by Greene in Orlando Win
|
Orlando right-hander Tommy Greene pitched his team to a shutout win, 4-0, over the Minnesota Twins. The Sun Rays improved to 33-45.
Greene, who dominated for Orlando, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 6 hits over 8.1 innings, while striking out 7. Minnesota batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Greene told reporters after the game.
