Pettitte Dazzles in Washington Win
Andy Pettitte pitched a gem in leading Washington to a 8-1 victory over the Oakland Athletics. The Senators bumped their record to 40-37 with this latest triumph.

The Athletics had trouble solving Pettitte, who surrendered no earned runs on 3 hits over 8.1 innings.

"It feels good to get this one," Pettitte told the Washington Observer.
