Creams Walk Off with Win
The inspired effort of Kansas City first baseman Jim Thome was not enough to prevent a 8-7 loss to the Milwaukee Creams. Thome was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Milwaukee reliever Steve Bedrosian picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Armando Benitez absorbed the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Creams.

Milwaukee took a 8-7 lead on Ken Caminiti's 29th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Caminiti hit in the bottom of the 11th, left Kansas City pitcher Armando Benitez shaking his head.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Caminiti. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
