Blue Jays Subdue Washington, 6-4
|
The Toronto Blue Jays grabbed a 6-4 win over the Washington Senators at RFK Stadium. Toronto right fielder Dante Bichette was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. The Blue Jays bumped their record to 45-36 with this latest triumph.
Toronto took a 6-3 lead on Bichette's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Jim Neidlinger in the top of the sixth, propelled Toronto to the win.
"It feels good to get this one," Bichette told the Toronto Observer.
