It was a good time at Milwaukee County Stadium, where fans came to watch the Kansas City Royals and Milwaukee Creams get after it.

Rick Wilkins did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Kansas City Royals from losing, 8-7, to the Milwaukee Creams at Milwaukee County Stadium. Wilkins was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jeff Calhoun closed it out for his 8th save.

In the bottom of the fifth, Milwaukee right fielder John Elway had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Elway stroked a bases-clearing double to right. It made the score 7-3, Milwaukee. For the game, he was 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI.

"I like our moxie," said Creams manager Sean Norman.

The second-place Creams have won 5 consecutive games.
