The Toronto Blue Jays bested the New York Mets, 4-3, at SkyDome. Ellis Burks was named player of the game. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Blue Jays now have a record of 41-39 with the win over New York.

An important at-bat for Toronto came with two out in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Burks hit a 2-run single, which contributed to the Blue Jays win.
