In a low-scoring tilt between the New York Yankees and the Florida Marlins, Mark Clark was the difference-maker. The New York right-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Mike Henneman earned his 7th save in 9 chances.

Travis Fryman in the bottom of the third had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 1st and the Yankees leading 2-0, the New York third baseman hit a run-scoring double.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Clark told a New York Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
