Close Win Moves Rangers to 39-43
|
Texas left-hander Kenny Rogers made an effective start against the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium, leading his team to a 4-3 win. Rogers went the distance for Texas. He gave up 2 earned runs on 4 hits. At 39-43, the Rangers are currently 4th in the Federal League Central Division.
One significant at-bat for Texas came with a runner on 2nd in the top of the ninth. Rangers first baseman John Kruk hit a single, which helped Texas go on to win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Kruk. "And not try to do too much."
