Johnson Now 8-3 After Subduing Rockies
|
Seattle Pilots starter Randy Johnson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Colorado Rockies, 2-0. Mike Henneman notched his 3rd save in 5 chances. The win boosts the Pilots to 41-40. The loss puts the Rockies at 40-41.
Johnson, who dominated for Seattle, earned the victory to move to 8-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 13. Colorado batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"I just made my pitches," said Johnson, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
