Pittsburgh Trades Grebeck for Cincinnati's Ventura
Monday, February 20th, 1995
It's all done except the paperwork. The Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds have agreed to a trade that will send 30-year-old 3B Craig Grebeck to Cincinnati, while 27-year-old 3B Robin Ventura will be shipped to Pittsburgh. A top front office executive with the Pirates described the trade talks as "quick and easy." "We're glad to get this deal done. We think it's something that helps our ball club and it didn't take too long at all to sort this one out," he said.

Grebeck has a career .250 batting average with a .315 OBP. He has hit 18 homers, driven in 250 runs and scored 228 runs since he came into the league.

Lifetime Ventura is hitting .240 with 719 hits, 129 doubles, 4 triples and 109 home runs. He has scored 356 runs and driven in 403.
