Hot Iron Burns Mets Ishii Sunday, April 16th, 1995 Mets starting pitcher Takehiro Ishii required medical attention yesterday after severely burning himself in his hotel room. Ishii apparently burned leg while ironing a pair of pants, but shrugged off suggestions that he may have actually been wearing the pants while ironing them. "I'm seriously not that stupid," said Ishii. "The iron just slipped and came down against my leg. No big mystery." |
