Toronto-Chicago Trade: Plantier for Gonzalez

The Blue Jays and the Cubs finalized a deal this afternoon. Toronto has traded for 29-year-old 1B Luis Gonzalez, 31-year-old minor league C Joe Oliver and 23-year-old minor league CF Dante Powell and in return Chicago will receive 35-year-old LF Dan Pasqua, 28-year-old minor league C Angelo Encarnacion and 28-year-old minor league RF Phil Plantier.


Currently Plantier has 6 home runs and a .208 batting average.

This season Gonzalez is batting .220 with 40 hits, 4 home runs, 22 RBIs, .291 OBP and has scored 22 runs.
