It has been in the rumor mill for several weeks, but today team officials for Charlotte and Toronto confirmed an agreement. The Knights dealt 25-year-old 2B George Arias, 30-year-old minor league LHP Pat Combs and 30-year-old minor league 2B Jeff Branson to the Blue Jays for 29-year-old minor league 1B Luis Gonzalez, 22-year-old minor league RHP John LeRoy and 40-year-old minor league 3B Carney Lansford.


In his career Combs has amassed 72 wins and 85 losses with an ERA of 4.73 and 956 strikeouts.

This season Gonzalez has hit at a .220 clip and produced 22 runs batted in, 4 home runs and 22 runs.
