FL's Best Player Named Monday, June 23rd, 1997 One of the league's most exciting young players, Carlos Delgado of the Milwaukee Creams earned himself Federal League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. For the week the 24-year-old first baseman had a lofty .391 average (9-for-23), collecting 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and 7 runs scored. So far this season Delgado has 27 home runs and a .246 batting average. |
