24-year-old Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Bartolo Colon had a strong outing against the San Diego Padres at Jack Murphy Stadium today, keeping them off the scoreboard the whole game. He struck out 8 in the 2-0 win and walked 3 while surrendering 4 hits.

"Hopefully there will be plenty more of these in the future for us," he said.

This season Colon has a 3-2 record with a 3.20 ERA.
