Juan Gonzalez, the Colorado Rockies 25-year-old left fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for United League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 12 hits in 27 at-bats, compiling a .444 average with 4 home runs and 8 RBIs. Gonzalez is hitting .274 this season with 10 home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 32 hits in 117 at-bats. |
