FL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Tuesday, July 1st, 1997 Youngster Raul Ibanez emerged as the latest Federal League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Cleveland deserved the honor, batting .354 with 9 home runs and 21 runs batted in. Is the month of June a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke?
