Today was Mark Guthrie's turn in the rotation for the Montreal Expos and he made the most of it, shutting out the Toronto Blue Jays on 6 hits.

The 31-year-old left-hander led the Expos to an easy 10-0 victory, allowing 2 walks and tallying 7 strikeouts.

"I hope we miss him next time," Toronto manager Jose Mata said. "Guthrie certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."

For the year Guthrie has compiled a 13-1 record with a 2.64 ERA.
