Hit #2000 for Red Sox Fletcher Sunday, July 6th, 1997 It was a banner day for Scott Fletcher, who collected his 2000th hit in the Boston 5-1 win over New York. Fletcher went 2-for-4 in the game as both Red Sox and Yankees fans cheered Fletcher when he reached base after his hit.
