Pilots Blank Colorado, Haney Winner
Sunday, July 6th, 1997
The Seattle Pilots rolled to an easy 8-0 win over the Colorado Rockies at Mile High Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter Chris Haney, who shackled the Colorado Rockies and held them scoreless on a 6-hitter.
"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Haney said in his postgame press conference.
Haney has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 7-9 record with a 3.28 ERA. The Seattle reliever has limited opposing batters to a .229 batting average.
