Toronto Blue Jays Ship Haselman to Boston Thursday, May 11th, 1995 It has been in the rumor mill for several weeks, but today team officials for Toronto and Boston confirmed an agreement. The Blue Jays dealt 28-year-old C Bill Haselman and 23-year-old minor league RHP Aaron Small to the Red Sox for 30-year-old C Hector Villanueva. This season Haselman is swinging the bat at a .254 rate with 16 hits in 63 at-bats. To date he has hit 1 home run, scored 7 runs and driven in 8. In his season totals, Villanueva has 4 home runs, .167 BA, .226 OBP, 9 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 34 games. |
