Rijo Silences New York Friday, August 1st, 1997 The Cincinnati Reds rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium today. Leading the way to victory was starter Jose Rijo, who shackled the New York Yankees and held them scoreless on a 3-hitter. "This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Rijo said in his postgame press conference.
