Ritz Pitches Twins to Shutout Win
Tuesday, August 12th, 1997
Kevin Ritz of the Minnesota Twins humiliated the Florida Marlins at Metrodome today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 1 hit.

"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Florida manager Stephen Ginter, after the game.

Ritz whiffed 9 and walked 3 in the 4-0 win.

"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Ritz said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."

This year Ritz has compiled a 9-10 record with a 4.96 ERA in 25 starts.
