Veteran Caminiti Hits Three Dingers
Wednesday, August 13th, 1997
Milwaukee third baseman Ken Caminiti led the Creams to a 13-7 triumph over the Boston Red Sox, crushing three home runs.

"He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Milwaukee skipper Sean Norman.

Indeed, Caminiti put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 4 hits in 4 at-bats with 5 runs and 7 RBIs.

"I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Caminiti said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em."

Ken Caminiti hit a two-run home run off Willie E Adams in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Eric Plunk in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Cal Eldred in the 8th.

This year Caminiti is hitting .273 with 39 home runs.
