Bad Behavior Costs Bonds and Hampton

Barry Bonds of Boston and Mike Hampton of Chicago were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Bonds will have to miss 5 games for his part in the brawl, while Hampton was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today.

Currently Bonds is hitting .283 and has collected 34 home runs, 78 RBIs and scored 89 times, while playing in 124 games.

Looking at his season stats, Hampton has won 6 and lost 10, collecting 167 strikeouts and 62 walks in 164.1 innings with a 3.18 ERA.
