Baltimore Shuts Out Arizona, 5-0 Sunday, September 14th, 1997
The Baltimore Orioles rolled to an easy 5-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Bank One Ballpark today. Leading the way to victory was starter David Wells, who shackled the Arizona Diamondbacks and held them scoreless on a 2-hitter.
"This is what every pitcher wants to do when they go out there," Wells said in his postgame press conference.
So far this season Wells has a 8-15 record with a 4.04 ERA.
