Wade Suffers Mild Electrocution, May Miss Game
Sunday, September 14th, 1997
Marlins reliever Terrell Wade had a close call at home yesterday. "I was replacing an electrical outlet cover plate and got a really bad shock," explained Wade. "A few minutes later, my right hand felt numb and I noticed some redness, so I decided to go to the ER and have it checked out." Wade was found to have a very mild electrical burn, but will likely sit out the next game if any numbness or soreness persists. Even though he was assured the hand was okay, Wade said he wasn't taking any chances in the future. "Next time, I'm calling an electrician!"
