Boston Befuddled by King
Saturday, May 13th, 1995
Eric King of the Chicago Cubs humiliated the Boston Red Sox at Wrigley Field today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 3 hits.
"He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Boston manager Brett Williams, after the game.
King whiffed 10 and walked 0 in the 3-0 win.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," King said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
This season King has compiled a 3-3 mark with a 3.81 ERA in 9 starts.
