Morris Blanks Diamondbacks Saturday, September 20th, 1997 Matt Morris of the Oakland Athletics humiliated the Arizona Diamondbacks at Oakland Coliseum today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 5 hits. "He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Arizona manager Alen Maglajac, after the game. Morris whiffed 9 and walked 4 in the 3-0 win. "If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Morris said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
