Big Bat Pays Off, Gant Player of the Week Monday, May 15th, 1995 Ron Gant kept his eye on the ball last week and now all eyes are on him. The Baltimore Orioles left fielder easily swung his way to the United League Player of the Week Award with 11 hits in 25 at-bats. Gant hit .440 last week with 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 10 runs scored.
